The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine is a well known stakeholder in public health. Hindustan Lever, which sells Lifebuoy soap, not quite so well known in our field. What happens when the two get together? Is marketing a black art, or is it about understanding what people need, then giving them what they need? What happens when the private sector learns from academic anthropology, and academia learns from marketing?
