When I think of larval source reduction, I think of Mussolini and the Pontine marshes. This method is not the new kid on the block! Perhaps needed, though.
The accepted view is that long life bednets and residual house spraying form the backbone of malaria vector control. Before insecticide resistance develops against both, we need a second look at larval source reduction.
