RECENT CITATIONS ON MALE CIRCUMCISION

Dear All,

Over the years, circumcision has remained a hot topic on this webpage, with over 20,000 hits since 2008. Limiting oneself to 2014 postings, one sees a shift: no longer is there much debate about male circumcision as a method for reducing the risk of heterosexual acquisition of HIV, but a move towards such topics as program implementation (the first citation on the list), risk compensation, technologies for MC, and whether there is a case for MC in the prevention of other diseases than HIV/AIDS. The last and most recent item on this list covers the broader question of MC as a preventive of STDs.

Good reading/rereading.
