Cochrane Postings on Tuberculosis
Tuberculosis control has seen few breakthroughs in recent years. Directly observed therapy was thought to be an advance in TB therapy, but the authors of item 3 concluded that “DOT did not provide a solution to poor adherence in TB treatment.” Item 7 concludes that INH is of some benefit to HIV seropositives, but not to those on ART. Reminder systems , item 2, improve therapeutic compliance.
